Dr. Lee Ann Barrett has been practicing optometry in Columbia since 1986. After earning a BA in Biology from Central Methodist College, she completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Barrett is a board-certified optometrist who happily sees patients of all ages but specializes and prefers geriatrics due to her areas of interest including ocular disease, surgical co-management, and contact lenses.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Barrett serves as the Executive Director of the Missouri Optometric Association. In her spare time, she can be found cheering for Mizzou football and traveling; especially when there is a chance to scuba dive or snorkel. Dr. Barrett also serves on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Special Olympics.
Dr. Barrett and her husband, Bob, have one son, Alex, who is an attorney practicing in Jefferson City.
